Disclaimer of Liability
DFWCP ("the Platform") is an independent civic information platform operated for DFW community benefit. The Platform is NOT affiliated with any government agency, municipal authority, or official body. All content — including city data, organization listings, health resources, housing market estimates, childcare resources, job postings, and community posts — is provided for informational purposes only and may not be accurate, complete, or up-to-date. Users should independently verify all information before relying on it for any decision. The Platform makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or availability of any information or service listed herein. Use of this Platform is entirely at your own risk.
No Endorsement of Organizations
Listing or "verifying" an organization on this Platform does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of that organization's services, legitimacy, or quality. A "verified" badge only indicates that the organization submitted documentation that matched our domain-verification check at the time of registration. Users must conduct their own due diligence before engaging with any organization, donating money, volunteering, or using any service. The Platform is not responsible for any harm, financial loss, or other damage resulting from interactions with organizations or individuals found through this Platform.
Anti-Fraud & Abuse Policy
The following activities are strictly prohibited on this Platform and may result in immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement:
- Impersonating a government agency, official, or non-profit organization
- Registering an organization with fraudulent, mismatched, or stolen domain credentials
- Soliciting donations, money transfers, or financial information under false pretenses
- Posting false job listings, fake volunteer opportunities, or scam services
- Harvesting personal information from users through fake profiles or listings
- Posting misinformation, health disinformation, or fraudulent resource listings
- Using this Platform for spam, phishing, or any commercial fraud
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans or verification requirements
If you suspect fraud or abuse, please report it immediately. The Platform cooperates fully with law enforcement investigations.
User Conduct
By using this Platform, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information in all submissions
- Use your real identity or organization credentials when registering
- Treat other community members with respect and civility
- Not post content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory
- Not reproduce, sell, or commercially exploit any Platform content without written permission
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws
Content Moderation
The Platform reserves the right to remove, modify, or restrict any content or account at any time, without notice, if we believe it violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the community. All user-generated content (community posts, organization descriptions, job listings) represents the views of the submitting user, not the Platform. We do not pre-screen all content but will act on reports of violations promptly. Removal decisions are final. The Platform is not a public forum and has no obligation to host any particular content.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DFWCP, ITS OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THIS PLATFORM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, FINANCIAL LOSS, PERSONAL INJURY, OR ANY HARM RESULTING FROM RELIANCE ON PLATFORM CONTENT. YOUR SOLE REMEDY IS TO STOP USING THE PLATFORM.
