What We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and chosen city. When you post content, we store your post data along with your user ID. We do not collect government IDs, social security numbers, or financial information. If you register an organization, we collect the organization's name, website, contact email, and description.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to operate the Platform: display your profile, attribute your posts, and send account-related emails. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing. We may share anonymized, aggregated usage statistics publicly.

Third-Party Services

This Platform uses Supabase for database and authentication hosting. News feeds use Google News RSS (no personal data transmitted). Housing data links point to Zillow, Redfin, and Realtor.com — their privacy policies apply when you visit those sites. We do not use tracking pixels, cross-site cookies, or behavioral advertising.

Data Retention

Your account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Community posts you create are associated with your account; deletion of your account will anonymize but not automatically remove your posts.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/HTTPS) for all data in transit and at-rest encryption provided by Supabase. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext. However, no system is perfectly secure — if you discover a security vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly to our team.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Texas residents may have additional rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@dfwcp.com.

Children's Privacy

This Platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be announced on the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
